Docket Clerk

Docket Clerk

Docket Clerks perform various functions and are responsible for docketing, maintaining and processing case information, and managing the progression of cases to final disposition, in accordance with approved internal controls, procedures, and rules.

A Dock Clerk is responsible for managing the loading and unloading of goods from ships at a dock or port. They organise and monitor the transfer of cargo, keep records of stock and ensure that all paperwork is accurate and up to date.

A clerk's duties are diverse but primarily involve administrative tasks, such as record-keeping, data entry, correspondence, and customer service within an office setting. They maintain organizational systems, operate office equipment, manage supplies, and may handle basic accounting duties. Specific responsibilities vary depending on the industry, such as a legal clerk assisting in a court or a store clerk processing payments, but the core function is to support the daily operations of their employer.
